I'm going to get another skid plate by the end of the year & the All J Superskid sounds & looks very strong. This is the first time I've looked into it & when I got onto there web site it said that it was not for sale. Has this been so for some time or is it a recent thing. Or have they moved it to another web site?

The other one I looked at was the Skid Row skid plate but it seems not as wide as the All J one, but better than the OEM Mopar one.

(It's the Tranny skid that I'm looking into)

Contact them to be sure but I think they phased it out due to lack of sales. They have a minimum amount to order from their cutter/bender and it isn't worth it to place an order if they can only move a few of them.

If there was enough interest they MIGHT do a group buy if they can get near their minimum.

Please don't take my word for it though and contact them about it.

I'd be interested in a group buy! Even at full price, they look worth it.

Pathetic state of affairs. The market has spoken.....besides getting groceries, KJ's are only good for running mud holes where MOPAR is good enough.

Please no one take this wrong I am NOT trying to stir any pots
but I feel this all goes back to what the AFTER MARKET SEE'S or rather what they don't see
they dont see KJ's out on the trails
I think by now every one knows that Superlift COULD make a 4" lift for the KJ but they probably never will
for much the same reason that they stoped selling that skid
POOR sales

I will contenue to stand by my thought that 95% of people who own 4wd KJ's will NEVER take them on a TRAIL
they may hit a dirt 2 track but NOTHING that would be considered a trail
and now with the 4 door JK the 5% that would take their KJ out on a trail are buying them

I guess I comes down to choices
back in '02 when the XJ whent and the KJ came what choice did you have as far as an OK off roadable 4 door rig?
not many KJ and Exterra
now look at what you have 4D JK ,KJ ,Exterra ,FJ and even H3 ,well the FJ get like a door and a 1/2 per side
lots to chose from now the big problem is desgin make one better or easier to modify and it gets ALL the after market attn.
like the FJ or have one that the purest want 4D JK and it gets more than its share leaving the rest to beg for scraps
Just how I see things

Thanks for that JJ, I wasn't aware that there sales were down. Not that hard to believe as I'm all the way over here, I'd be interested in a group buy. However no point building a fire if we can't get a flint. In saying that there seems to be 3 takers or would be takers on this thread atm. Lets see where it goes, as far as contacting them I sent an email just prior to this post. I will report back when I get a reply.

I've received an email:

copy & paste version.

Hi Chris,
Yes the Super Skid II is discontinued. We discontinued the product due to the sales being less than what was needed to keep it on our production schedule. Currently we are in talks with Rock Lizard to sell him the drawings of the Super Skid I and Super Skid II and the right to build them. If you are interested, please let Rock Lizard know that this is a product you would like for him to carry.

Thank you for your interest and for checking with us directly on the status of this product. :)

I just ordered a Super Skid I for my 03. There were 3 left on Monday. Once those are gone, they are discontinued too...

That's the SS I (one), as far as I can see 05 models onward need the Super Skid II.

I'm not sure what the difference is, can anyone explain what the difference is between the Super Skid I & II? & if you can fit a II to an 05 model.
