One thing I do not like about it is the fact that you cannot close up that little room if the jeep is not attached to the tent. You can close that door to the rest of the tent, but if its rains then the room will get water in it.

The reason I say its not good in the rain is b/c it leaked on me. It was raining fairly hard and we were under some mighty tall trees. You could feel a mist coming through the top of the tent, and yes, the rain fly was on it.

Sorry that I did not say I had the rain fly off in those pics. You can see it laying on the ground in one of the pics.

thats an awesome idea. if you need something just open up the tailgate and crawl in and its all open to go back and forth.

funny note, would be funny if someone rolled over in their sleep and CRACK! head hits the hitch ball hahaha

I cracked my shin on that dude crawling up in the back one knight during the rain to turn the key off after a movie. yeeouch

Hey you just got my vote on the rig of the month....now your tied with 3 others, hope you pull it off. As you can see from where we were parked...tall trees and it rained for several days, very hard at times and we didnt get wet? where was it coming from? I'll watch for that spot on mine. Camp dry - mans other best friend. Havent had to use it yet on this one, but Ive used it on many others.
When i pulled away from the tent, I balled the opening up and tied it off like a loaf of bread, It did really good. I wish they had installed a zipper door there behind the sock, that would have been ideal.

When I "car-camp" in bear country, I like to keep all food/smelly items stored in the truck in sealed containers. Having my sleeping quarters so close to (attached to!) where the food is being stored would make me nervous. Other than that, I like it and can see the value in having sheltered access to the truck.
