I'm planning on Frankenlift II very soon, and wondered if anyone has any serious gripes about their FL2?

We have an '04 4x4 auto it's going on. :?: :?:

My only complaint was it did not come with instructions. Everything else is great. I can actually hit speed bumps at 2mph with out loosing control of the vehicle.

You MAY have upper ball joint contact with the Frankie. Some people have contact, others don't. Hard to say why. Could be due to vehicle weight compared to others, could be clevis lift, and then, there's Gremlins. get one stuck between the strut mount and KJ body and it raises your KJ up too high and the UBJ's contact the springs.

Solution for the UBJ contact seems to be the purchase of Al's A-arms, which will cost a hefty extra dollar. I would buy the Frankie first, test it out and let it settle for a couple weeks of regular driving (hit a trail also) and then see if you have UBJ contact issues. You can decide if the A-arms are needed after that.

I have had the Frankenlift Premium II for a few weeks now and no problems. I really like it. Went from the stock 225-75 to a 255-70 tires, added Al's Arms, the Amsoil air filter, Magnaflow exhaust had the dealer reprogram my Jeep for the new tires, and still at 17 mpg. It is really fun to drive now.
Do not wait as long as I did!

How are those 255 tires working for you? My Frankenlift Premium II should be here in a few weeks. I'm also going with Al's arms. One of the sizes I'm looking at is 255/70R17. At an inch bigger in diameter do you think I'll have problems?

1" taller probably won't cause any problems. If you are running aftermarket wheels the width and bs of the wheels might cause some rubbing with wider tires/wider rim/less backspacing...but that size should be pretty safe.

I like the 255's! The only rubbing I have is at full lock. I have been off road several time and have not had a problem. I have not done any rock crawling or anything really testing the Jeep in tight places. The only time I usually hear the rubbing is when backing up and turning to sharp. I just do not do that anymore. I did not have the pinch weld or anything else altered either.
