Lets say the passenger side of the jeep is sitting on the downslope on a parking lot. So looking from the back the rear axle is lower on the passenger side cause its following the slope. Would the body itself be lower on the passenger side? I know it would if you have a pretty big downhill but what about just a slight slope will it make the Jeep itself follow the outline of the slope. What got me thinking is one of the picture that tjkj posted on here of the Hummer with all four IFS.

yes, the body would be angled to match the slope. I had to build a suspension mathematical model for part of my senior design project that would give body position based on the position of the 4 wheels. Any time all 4 wheels were in the same plane, the body was oriented parallel to that plane.

yes sir, engineer knows. If all four tires are on the surface, the vehcile is "flat" to that surface

A slight difference in height from wheel to wheel will make the jeep look like its leaning.

And yes, if you have a big enough slope the body will lean to that side.

This only holds true for uniform weight distribution throughout the "body", correct?
