How to tell if its rubbing?

You can also see the edges/corners of the tread.
So, what now? Return tires and get something with less aggressive tread?

I got 1 more week to go with these tires before I can return them.. or else I am stuck with them.
Will lift work? like 1/2 inch lift or so!?

It looks like if you were to trim out the plastic you would be fine. No guarantee, just looks like it. I have an 05 and it's not the same in the wheel well. Some guys have heated that flap behind the fog lights and push it in with good results.

IF YOU READ HIS POST IT WAS NOT IN THE THE PINCH WELD AREA, some think they know it all and never read what the problem is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Take the time to read what he wrote then you will know that yes a knife will cut it! It is the front of the fender not the rear!!
Best thing is to cut it out thats what we had to do to Sean 150s tried to heat and bend but just cut out what will hit and be done

EVERY PICTURE HE SHOWS IS IN FRONT NOT THE PINCH WELD!!!!! There is no fog light area on the 05 and later to heat up

i think because this rubbing looks pretty minor, and i dont think you wheel it if i remember correctly, just heating it up and moving it out of the way would work fine. i just used a heat gun and a 2x4. Heat it up, put the edge of the wood in there and push. then hold it until it cools. works like a charm. mine was just a bit too severe for this method. i just got back in from cutting out a big hole...

Rub is very near the foglight cover, won't heating cause any problems?

Dude that rubbing is not going to hurt any thing
if it bothers you then get out the heat gun and an old glove
heat and push the are that rubs untill it stops rubbing
more lift will not help
narrower tires will or tires with less OD will help
but I would just heat it up and move it out the way ,we did it to the wifes KJ and it has a slight rub at full lock
in reverse on the inner well liner but I figure it is plastic and not near as strong as the tires so it will go away

I had rubbing there as well but I am surprised that your not rubbing the pinch weld as well. I had more rub than yours which justified breaking out the saw and eventually just building a bumper with tons of clearence.

Yours realy looks minor. But if you wheel it and have the suspension compressed it could be a problem. Just my thoughts.

I don't understand why he's rubbing with a 235/65-17...if i'm not mistaken, thats the factory size for the KJ

These have beefier and longer treads, stock goodyears were barely fitting there.

Mine did every now and again with the 245 70 16s if it was sitting just right. Each vehicle is a little different the way they sit so some with the same tires and wheels may only slightly rub where others will rub more. You have to remember its all plastic parts and they move some expand cool down etc all the time.
