What are you looking to get out of this exhaust? performance? sound? personally i like the super 40 on mine, although too loud for some.

maybe this will help you decide, it is somewhat distorted but the basic sound is there. I can get more clips from the interior if you would like.

What does it sound like from the inside? Is it super loud? Does the 50 series give you a deeper tone? or just louder?

the 50 is bigger will probably give you a very similar tone, but not as loud.
Interior resonance is no where near that of a standard 40. I do not think its loud, barely notice it over the MT/R's.

Ill get some sound clips later from the inside and let you see what you think.

Flowmaster 50 SUV has a thicker shell...two advantages are quieter in the cabin and takes a hit better.

I have the 50 series SUV and would never want anything louder. Its just a low drone with the windows up but with them down it gets alittle loud around 35-45mph with the rpms around 2k.

At 75mph its just a low drone with the windows up. Cant hear it with the windows down at those speeds of course.

I tend to drive at high speeds around here since the speed limit is 70mph in some places. It would drive me crazy if I had the 40 series from what people say about them. :?

there is a very sweet spot with the 50 SUV, you just have to find it and then it sounds great. otherwise don't expect to be revving and making any noise

I got the Rustys kit with a Flowmaster 40 and I like it. But be warned that my kit was missing a piece of pipe and I was not able to install it. I ended up just taking it to Midas and had them weld it on. The tip is kinda big and drags on stuff when your out on the trail. It looks cool all shined up but if I was going to do it again I would have just welded a 40 series in place of the stocker. Just my 2 cents

With in 3 days of purchasing my Liberty last year I started pricing muffler I went to a Middus and was quoted $375.00. So went down the street to a local independent muffler shop and they sold headers.. The owner said don't bother with headers the price would not be justify. So he offered a Flowmaster a little better but still I choked and gagged. Then he offered a MagnaFlo for $150.00 installed. SOLD, since I hadn't driven it long enough to see if I got any improvements in milage. But it does seem to be a little responsive, But of coarse best of all it sound good. A lot of times when you get a performance type of upgrade it gets canceled out because you just push on the skinny pedal, just so you can play harder
