This pic is with the tire on the ground...4"+ lift and the CVAngles look pretty flat as well as the lower control arm...hummmmmm...I guess it could just be longer springs and a different top mounting plate. We need a similiar side by side pic of a Liberty with a 2.5" lift or even a stock one to compare better.

It doesn't look like he is flat on the ground, he is in the water and it looks angled, I think that side is being compressed a bit.

Yeah, it's on the ground but it looks like it may be stuffed a little. I wonder what the other side looked like at that same moment, myself. I've been curious about the CV angles and stuff since page one of this thread.

You ever talk to Lilredlibby (ron) before we lost him. (Still chokes me up a bit  ) I believe he used a longer strut and some spacers to get his lift. Moose and Eddo should know?...

One other thing, I know we all take some things personally but don't. Brian would be the first to help you on trail if you needed it and he would do the same here.

Greatly appreciated 8)

KJ in a tight spot,

I, for one, agree and am thankful for the interruption from the Moderator. I found your posts so JU like that I was calling you JU mentally before reading your posts. It quickly went from JU to Pirate guy. However, no matter how grating your posts were this past week, for what it's worth, I give you props for coming on and publicly apologizing to the board when you could have just left. It took a lot to do what you did and it shows you want to stay. Which is good. I mean, you could be a valuable resource for guys thinking about putting TJ stuff on their KJ.

I will try thanks 8) I aint even a member on JU  Pirate yes

Agreed, looks to have a pretty dam flat CV angle considerin the lift...the spacer is minimal on top of the coil, maybe .5" or 1" max...gotta be the strut. Swmpthng still hasnt said how he achieved this lift. I mean it says it was a "combo" lift for 5.5" but what is a "combo" lift consist of? I am assumin he means spacers and longer struts up front obviously but in the rear its hard for me to tell if he got on some spacers...obviously he's got long travel shocks back there...

Okay, In that picture you pasted i am not flat at all im angled quite a bit, my cvs are at a great angle when its level.. and with the stock KJ i can drive right next to it and my mirror goes well over theirs with even more room but i will get a picture with mine and a stock side by side..

2.5 strut spacer you can kinda see in the pic and a 2.5 coil spring. can't really tell in the pic but its there.

And i am replacing the ball joints and tie rods this week!! and hopefully it will do better wheeling because i noticed a change in the past month of the wheels hopping like someone saide in on of my videos.. that is due to what i think is my bad ball joints and tie rods.. but when i first put the lift on i could climb up the hills in low easy but after 5 months and before the recall on the kj when i have it in low it wants to hop real bad going up the hill thats why i only used 4wheel high.. but i will put more pics on here soon.. thanks for clearing everything up for me since im new 8)

you can see a few pics of thunderbird stocky by mine but not level... and also by an older dodge ram.

So swmpthg how many miles do you have on the set up now? If you were starting over again what would you do different or change since using it for a while? What else would you like to have as far as front /rear suspension goes?
Just curious
Thanks
Tom

Well i have about 6,000 miles on it with the lift, and i drive 200 miles every other weekend on the highway at about 75mph.. and really the only thing i would get differently would be new top control arms, gears, and lockers. also get a larger spring front and rear to get rid of the spacers because that would give me better articulation. I am going to buy the jeepin by al control arms for his 4 inch lift at least until i get a SFA.
