I have been on this forum for quite some time now and i've really noticed this place has been receiving a lot of arguing and bickering on threads. Seems to be happening a lot lately. I want this to be a friendly place...sure there is a lot of usefl and knowledgeable information on here but c'mon im tired of sifting through 4 pages of arguing to get information or feedback. Please guys...keep it friendly on here

I will be taking some time off from here I really dont want to see this place go down the crapper... :!:

Agree totally with you on this, I started lurking on here 8/04 and been around ever since, used to you could joke around , or make jokes about someone (all in good fun of course) and still find out what you needed to know or help someone out with a problem. Friends think I have a rather dry sense of humor so maybe thats it at times, but anymore I am afraid to comment due to what others may make out of it.
I "visit" several other forums and NONE of them have or had the family feeling that LOST had or has. Lets keep it that way, if you want to argue , I can give you my email address cause I do love to argue at work sometimes, but not on here , this is home!
I consider a lot of people on here good friends even though I may never see them, they have asked questions and I have responded, I enjoy being on here a lot.
So lighten up and enjoy LOST more.

Tom said that!

Yep, no sense getting to gripped up about stuff. Different opinions make the world go around. How about northern Montana for that group hug, though? Little closer....

I see cursing ,threats and name calling all the time so what happens here is by far mild
I try to keep my posts to fact if a question is asked and speak my oppinion when asked for it
then there are the rides ,I post 1+ per month wich up till now has mattered very little

any how sorry if I offend you in any way but that is how I roll
direct and to the point

All things considered, it is time to go out and fling some mud. The rainy season cometh and that will help.

I read in a LOST transfer case question over the weekend where someone else said, no pissing contest here and the other guy quickly agreed. I almost posted, "Great Recovery" as I thought that was excellent and as it should be.

Blogs are blogs and e-mail's have no soul. On the Kawasaki Ninja blog I'm a member of, boy or boy are those people going around for the last couple of weeks with flinging hate mail instead of mud. I'm about ready to leave and never go back even to lurk.

All in all, and IMHO, this place is helpful, insightful and the overall atmosphere is fun.

I'll take the mud, tip my hat and say thanks to everyone here for such a sporting blog.

Landy

It's common really... The more "mature" any forum gets the more "immature" it becomes.

I am a member of another forum (not Jeep-related) that has this same "family" feel to it and the behavior that RkyMtnKJ described is occurring over there, too. I think it's just a cycle thing... I've seen it happen three times over the last three years on there. Someone should do a psychological study of these events.

I am guilty, as I started a rather heated thread here on t cases in the 6 speeds. I said a few things that I felt bad about later, but I tried to end it positive. I will try to keep it all positive in the future. I too enjoy the kinder, gentler atmosphere. Thanks for the heads up. (Oh and BTW, my dad can beat up your dad. Juat kidding!)

If I start getting a little testy over the next few months, forgive me. Instead of taking my work frustrations out here, I should take my frustrations out at work. The only problem is the dang restrictive rules of engagement being forced down our throats.

BTW, Dave, another thing to add to your list is: "Nearest loved-one is over 6000 miles and 9 time-zones away for the next year and change."

A quick story about Wranglers.... We're discussing brands in one of my evening classes. I approached my professor and said Jeep is going through some interesting times, thinking to myself about the impact Patriot and Compass will have on the rugged Jeep 4x4 image. Well, he busts out, ****[Content deleted so as not to insult anybody.]****

I laughed so hard! I love everybody, regardless of whatever, but his comments were so far off base from what I expected, I thought it was hilarious! So, my question, what does the "L" in "LOST" really stand for?

Nevermind.

I guilty as well but hope to do better.
I was up on a CB band and heard the same ,I think that when you dont see people eye to eye we all get a little thin skin and dont realize that most is not personel to you but is just someone opinion .on the ham bands if you get upset and argue some hams will call you and talk or the fcc will let you know. I gues we should be thankful to the Moderators we have here
I have seen a hole lot worst .even the ones I have argued with were nice compared to some boards

just a thought.
