anyone know if this code is fixable in the driveway ?

P0456 Evaporative emission system – very small leak detected Mechanical fault, hose connection(s), EVAP pressure sensor

not sure where to start looking. i nosed around a dodge forum similar to this one and they were showing a pic of a vacuum / vent hose coming from the gas tank that had cracked.

wasnt sure if it would be the same on the jeep, but probably is.

Have you checked to see if your gas cap is tight? Not sure but, I seem to remember someone from jeepkj.com having that same code and it turned out that he had just gotten his gas cap on, mis-threaded.

Yep biggest culprit for P0456 code is the gas cap.It is easy to crawl under the back end and check the hoses, had one of mine crack, took 5 min and some 3/8" fuel hose and it was fixed(showed P0455 code,EVAP large leak).

Should be able to fix it depending on where the leak is.

There is a box right infront of the gas tank that has some hoses coming out of it. Sometimes those dry rot, crack, then leak. Check those and see how they look. I tried to find some pics but I do not think I have any.

Not off hand but it was the small one that goes from the EVAP canister to a hard plastic line, makes a 90 degree turn(formed hose) and is only about 6"-8" long. There is the other one to,it's bigger(about 1 1/4" dia) and runs from the EVAP canister to the EVAP vacumm test pump(about 15" long).

Mine leaked there too, tjkj. It's behind a hard line with a quick connect fitting...can be tough to see if you don't have good light. I'll go snap a pic...BRB

here we go. the NOT this one is the one you DO NOT want to try to disconnect. the one the blue arrow is pointing to is the rubber vacuum line. I just replaced mine with what was laying in a coworker's toolbox...oddly enough, mine didn't set off a code, but it went PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST
