First Trail Since upgrades

I went from more or less stock to all the upgrades in my sig. a couple months ago and I finally got around to taking it out. Not extreme by any means but I put traction control to the test going up this hill with fist-sized rocks. Click for full size. Thanks for taking a look.

how did you do those shackles... get he hitch arm and drill the holes?
also got any close-ups of how you mounted your rack "low style" inbtween the roof rails?

For the front D-rings I followed this writup but I used 2 inch ball mounts. I got the shackles here. They fit pretty well in the ball mount hole.

To get the basket to mount low, I used Yakima Mightmounts that are meant for Thule crossbars.

I have a closeup pictures of both at home I will post tonight.
