crap, now I'm going to have to resell them and still have to shell out over $600 for halfway decent tires. Why the heck do they put rims onto a vehicle that severly restricts the kinds of tires you can use??? My pt cruiser was the same way, 17" rims so you have to pay extra for the lower profile tires.
those are Cherokee rims right? You are the one putting them on a KJ...they weren't intended for the KJ. As far as I know, Jeep is putting the right rims on and their stock rims don't restrict anything as you put it. Check around and you can get GREAT tires for your stock rims for way less than $600. I just bought 5 tires at a larger than stock size, had them mounted, balanced with all the roadside bells and whistles for the life of the tire for $485 plus tax...$515 OTD. That's for 5. For 4 tires, you can save even more...and if you go to a place like Pepboys or the like, they have buy 3 get the fourth free all the time. Food for thought.
