Hey everyone,

Well, I've got a nice knocking going on in what seems to be the front end somewhere. It starts @ 45mph and definitely is rotational. Seems like a bearing or something is shot, causing something to wobble while rotating.

My question is if this sounds like it could be the front driveshaft or could be a CV. I'm thinking driveshaft possibly, but could be way off.

It's an '02 Rene with 85k on it.

TIA!!!

Its not too hard to remove the front drive shaft and test for the sound. Just make sure you mark how the drive shaft lines up with the companion flanges on the front differential and transfer case so it goes back on in the exact same position.
