I was changing the oil this morning and found something  I went to add the new oil in the filler neck and noticed a white sludge deposit on the cap and on the inside wall. At first thought I thought it was coolant in the oil. When I went to transfer the oil from the catchpan to the milk jug I watched it closely for any signs, and there were none. When I took it to AutoZone to drop off the oil I watched again as he poured it out. No traces were found as we poured it into the holding tank. Does anyone have an idea of what it might be. I am just at 57,000 mi.

:D :D I am real glad to hear that. I was starting to wonder because there was nothing in the oil. Thanks a lot for putting my fears to rest. :) :)

you see that condensation foam more in the colder months if you don't run your engine long enough to warm up and evaporate. quick start and drive for a short distance can cause this to show up over time. IMHO

There was a TSB for this. The fix was to put a small insert into the neck of the filler so that you (as the owner) can no longer see the foam. :)
