TPM Question

Ok I have my lift on and my Moab/MTR's on. Is there a fuse I can pull to get rid of the orange low tire light on my dash? Or do I have to buy some TPM's and put them in all my moabs?

I'm going through the same thing ...sort of. Service manager at my local dealer said it cannot be disabled and the TPM sensors for the valve stems cost about $62 a piece.

only way to get rid of the light without knocking out the functions of a few other things is to install the sensors from your OEM wheels into the Moabs.

the stock sensors SHOULD work fine in the Moabs.

gonna cost me a boatload to remove all the tires to pull the sensors and then remount them back on and then install the sensors into the new wheels and tires. :twisted:

I just live with it. Since I don't have an Evic to tell me the tire pressure it doesn't really bother me.

Yeah, that was about 30 years ago!

Since then they add more crap every year to the vehicles, nowadays you can't do a proper diagnosis of an engine without a $4,000 handheld computer.

You mean greasing all four balljoints, all the suspension bushings, replacing/adjusting condensors and points, replacing plugs and wires every 10,000 miles, adjusting valves (on hi-po cars)?

Crap, I'd never drive anything more than 10 years old as a DD anymore. my last T-bird was pushin 20, but the NEWEST vehicle I'd owned was a 1988 Chevy Corsica in 1997...so I didn't know any better. Screw all that old stuff :lol:

my first car that I bought with my own hard earned teenage money was a 1970 Ford LTD 2 door custom with a 351 Windsor V8 engine. What a beautiful boat that was. still miss it to this day, and never really minded doing the maintenance on it. Funny thing is that even back in 1979 I was getting around 20 MPG's with that car if I stayed off the gas.
