Dealership installed hitch not tow package

must be, or the stealship just plumbed it in...what did they charge you to install the "tow package"

I think it was $400 or something but that cooler was one every KK at the dealership and was on mine before I bought it back to have my ordered skids and hitch put on.

yeah so far I'm not impressed with this dealership or my salesman. I'm getting tired of the "I'll call you back once I look into it more" game.

My KK has the same cooler as digger showed the pictures of with the tow hooks.

However, mine also has another really large cooler sitting in front of the radiator. It's almost as large as the radiator itself. I'm not sure if that's extra engine cooling or a transmission cooler

The picture of digger's cooler looks similar to a traditional transmission cooler, and is in about the same locations.

I'll have to see if I can get pictures of it.

I called my dealership and they are unsure if they can get the trailer anti-sway "put on" my Libby or not. Isn't it just a program in the ECU? His excuess is that since it just came out they don't have any books on it so they have to make some phone calls. BS!

guess again, it is the A/C condenser. as for the trans cooler, there should be a couple of lines plumbed in to the bottom of the radiator..here are a couple of pictures

hey digger, how can a manual transmission have a trans cooler? I know that autos can have them but I didn't think a manual transmission had a pump like an auto does?

....the pictures that i post are the a/c condenser..and you are right about the manual trans not having a pump..sorry, i should have been more clear

oh I was just confused. It seems we know what they claim is in the tow package but not what each piece is. I just want to know what is what under that dang hood

I beleive their is a thread around here some place the give you a web address to get a copy of the original build sheet. With that and an attorney I think you will have them buy the short and curlys :twisted:

and I had them add stuff to one off the lot. By making them add stuff I had them by the short and curlys... they hated that those where "deal breakers" :twisted:

my feelings at this point is they bent you over and they should provide a factory equipped kk and buy back yours...as soon as i track down the ever lasting answer to our question...you will have proof they they shorted you for something that you requested...

I'm still on the fence as to wether or not to fight them about it or not. It seems all the stuff I'm missing is rather easy to put on with the exception of the mythical "HD Cooling" and the anti-sway program that they WILL be programing... its a safety thing. Maybe if they keep dragging it out I'll turn A-hole but I did get a good deal considering I owed a couple grand on the car I traded in. Who knows... stupid HD engine cooling :lol:

Showed up at my dealership today and I think I got some answers... maybe. My salesman didn't have any answers, service manager had no answers either so they took me in the shop to talk to a service tech. He stated that when he called Mopar accessories they said that if it is a program on the ECU all KKs should have it installed and active. If that is true why wouldn't they list that under standard equipment?

Oh and I got the answer to "What is HD cooling?" The tech confirmed it was a clutch type fan and a bigger shroud. I asked him if there was a difference between a manual and an automatic but he couldn't say for sure since all the ones he has installed have been on automatics. Digger I think you may have a right to be mad.
