GWNF 1and 2 Dec

I'll be taking a group to GWNF the first weekend in Dec. We will be heading up on the 1st, spend the night in Harrisonburg and wheel on the 2nd. PM me or respond to this thread if you would like details.

Dangit! I just ruled out that weekend as a potential!! Do you know if they close the trails up there for the winter?

I'm looking at the weeknd of Dec 15-16. I might be able to get away then. I'll let you know for sure as soon as possible. If they don't close GWNF trails for the winter, we need to go up there. If not in Dec, then Jan. My Jeep is hungry for some rocks.

I have 4 vehicles going on the 1st and 2nd so I can't change the date. To find if anything is closed you have to call the ranger station and they will tell you. The early part of winter shouldn't be an issue with trails, but as you get further into the snow/ice season it will become an issue.

We are always try to start planning something for GWNF or Shoe Creek in March/April.

Man, Mike would love to go but get to go back out into the big ocean for a couple of weeks.

If I don't go to Uwharrie on Sunday will probably head up there on Sunday, with some of the guys from the ship.

We will have to get together and do some wheeling. Either GWNF or OBX.

Richard: Are you thinking about both days or only on Sunday? Don't worry about the new tires. I'll be wheeling in a TJ that still has stock tires.

Yah, gotta love the ships schedule. We get this weekend to play, Maybe Thanksgiving weekend and then none until the weekend before xmas. Hopefully we will have most weekends in Jan and begining of Feb free.

Don't count me in for anything in Mar/Apr, Gone for 6 months. Will be looking to go wheeling sept of next ear hoefully.

Are you gong to be wheeling at all on the 1st or just going up?

How about doing a New Years run again? We did GWNF last year on 12/30.

I was planning on doing a little bit on wheeling on the 1st. It all depends on the time we leave the Beach. I can't do New Years eve. Sorry.

Here is the line up.

Myself (plus 1 TJ, 1 YJ, 1 Dodge, 1 Ford). Total of 5
Richard (plus 1 TJ). Total of 2

Grand total of 7 rigs. Would anyone else like to come out and play?

Lunch will be on Flagpole. I'm bringing a small grill for dogs and burgers.

I will be heading up tomorrow (Saturday) so us Virginia Beach jeepers can play a little on Saturday afternoon. I will not be checking this forum after this evening but I will plan on meeting your and Richard at Sheetz on Sunday morning. I don't have my CRD. I will be in a stock TJ with a hard top.

OBTW: If any of your fellows want to bring some women along feel free. My wife is coming, our daughter is coming and another fellow is bring his wife so there will be plenty of ladies to chit chat with.
