U-Connect

I'm seriously considering a MyGig system and U-Connect for my KK.

While I was having the KK oil changed at the dealer today, I asked about the cost of MyGig, U-Connect, and installation..... (cough, gasp, wheeze) it was $2,600~! He says $1,900 for the parts and $500 for installation.

The service guy says that to get the U-Connect now, that I have to have a different rear view mirror and cable. He was saying that they have not developed the cable yet, but expects it to be available at any time.

I was looking on EBay, and I see some new MyGig's for the KK, but they are all at least $1,600. Not so sure I'd want to tackle the install myself. I understand that it would take a trip to the dealer to tell the computer to recognize the MyGig anyway.

Hummm..... Christmas is just around the corner... I wonder if all these toys will be available at Christmas so I can have my wife start shopping for me early.... :lol:

Rick...I'm not totally sure what the MyGig is, but there are a number of bluetooth compatible aftermarket head units. whatever the MyGig is, I'm sure there's a sweet stereo available that will do everything (and probably more) it does for cheaper

the MyGig is an infotainment center.

It plays CD's, DVD's, has Navigation, and has a 20 gigabyte hard drive that you can store songs or pictures on.
