After nearly an hour of searching, I'm just going to post:
I'm wondering if anyone has taken pre-install measurements of the OME 790 or 927 front springs and the 948 rear springs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 790s are rated at 500 lb/in and the 927s are 410 lb/in, right? What is the spring rate of the 948 rears?

Specifically, I'm looking for the uncompressed length of the springs. Installed (compressed) length would be good too. Did anyone happen to measure the ø of the wire?

I recall OzLtd posted this info for his custom King Springs coils, and I thought I'd seen it somewhere else too, but I've been wrong before...

I'm curious because I'm interested in "designing" my own springs at ~450 lb/in for a custom 2"-2½" lift. Thanks for any help.

Basically you will get about that much lift with the OMEs :? So you just want a heavier rated spring?

Yeah, pretty much. I thought the 927s (@ 410 lb/in) were a little on the soft side for a CRD and that the 760s (@ 500 lb/in) are too stiff. I'm looking for a 'tweener, but it'll have to be custom since nobody makes 450 lb/in springs.

If you can find OzLtd info - I'm pretty sure his were 465 lb/in - the only problem was that the shipping cost as much as the springs.

I don't plan on ordering them from King Springs, as OzLtd did. King Springs is in Australia, which is why the shipping is so steep.

I've contacted a shop in Kansas and they'll charge $355 + $30 shipping for custom KJ springs. I need to do some calcs before I can pull the trigger, and I need the stock spring specs to do those calcs.

Edit 1: fixed quote syntax
