I am looking for opinions on which tire size is better and why?
2005, Sport, not lifted. Which is better 225/75/16, 235/70/16, or 245/70/16?
The first two are the most important because I've heard the 245 will rub. Some
say yes and some say no. Is it true? Also, does the 225/75/16 fill the gap better
than the 235/70/16? Opinions please.

If 245 70s rub it it just very minor when backing up with the wheels turned all the way over. That said all should do fine, they are all with in a half inch in heighth of one another. So its sort of up to you, the 70s will be maybe 1/2 inch wider but other than that...

you can not look at it and say that 245 is taller than 225
it is based on math ,I dont know how it works really

what I know is that a 225/75 is about 29.5-29.75" tall but only like 6" wide at the tread
a 245/70 is the same hight but like 7 or 8" wide this is why the 245/70's rub but the 225/75's do not

Yes the 225/75's look way better than the 235/70's but they are skinny

I say get a spring lift and some 245/75 MT's of any brand
they fill the wells way better

I would eliminate 235/70 and go with 235/75 but that's just me.

I have had 235/70/16's (stock) and I'm currently running 245/70/16's, I dont have rubbing with the 245's but I'm a 2002 pre-lowered.

I'm not much of a tire expert, but I cant really tell the difference between 235 and 245. Then again, I havent seen the two side by side either so I dont know.

Actually 235/75 would mostly be just taller. Tall and narrow is supposed to be best for most off road situations
