Just found some rust along the edges of the under body panels, especially around the tank area and I also found some rust in the chassis beams (when looking through the openings at the bottom) and I found some rust at the beams on which the engine is mounted.
It looks like the underside has not been protected with under seal and the inside of the beams have not been coated with wax.

My KJ is from 2003 and it is still under the 6 year unlimited mileage bodywork anti corrosion guarantee.

I had the Jeep dealer look at it and they told me that it's normal, but then again they also thought a blocking rear axle was normal and they think a KJ should not go off road.

So has anybody any experience with claiming this under warranty and does anybody know if this kind of rust can be claimed on the guaranty?

If its just surface rust then thats ok. They probably wont fix that since almost every car on the road has surface rust on the underbody. Well, except mine.. :)

If the metal has actually started to bubble up then they must fix it.
