Check this out....http://purplecranium.com/i-79433-dodge-8-25-10-bolt-chrome-differential-cover.html

Pretty cool looking stuff. Don't know about the strength of this cover but the spider guards they have look really darn interesting, and shall I say cool looking! Their website says they have a spider guard cover coming for the 8.25....a purple PC'd cover and a green spider guard would look sweet on the rear of my KJ!!!!!

I've seen a truck with one on there...then I found this site not long ago...I was guna post something on here about it, but I must have forgotten. Maybe some LOST guys need to email em' and tell them to hurry up with their spider guard for the 8.25!!! Maybe we can get a group by going or something, like a prototype test thru the LOST guys?? God knows alot of the members on here can put their cover/guard through it's paces!!!

some of that PCP stuff is cool. but I wonder how sturdy it is? but when you go to the FAQ page it says they can make what ever you want for $199.00 ?????

I wondered the same. For $21 a pop for the cover...you could buy 4 or 5 of em' and replace em' every trip for all it's worth!!

The spider looks high quality and tough...but not sure about the guard. They have some real neat powder coating options...and they seem to back up what they build. The only thing that worries me is all they have in their gallery is pics of show trucks all jacked up....half of em' look like they have never put a tire offroad. Makes me wonder.... :?

I emailed them about the progress of the 8.25 spider....we shall see what they say. I also invited them to LOST....! :)

I may order a cover soon....for $21, I dont think you can go wrong. They aren't too far from me anyways...in upper Michigan.

they spider does look pretty darn cool. i would like one of the painted covers too, its only 21 bucks...but I know it wouldn't be long before it is all covered int dust, mud, skankwater, and gear lube.

I'm really thinkging I'll get a rusty's and do my own paint on it.

Here's the reply I got from an email I sent them last night....

Evan,

The covers are just that...chrome plated covers. The add no more
protection than the stock cover. For where you wheel you need the
Spider
Rock Guard. From what is on the board right now I would say the Spider
for the 8.25 Dodge should be out in the next couple of weeks. From this
time until January is when our new designs/products are complete.
Thanks
for the interest.

Thanks,
PCP

Hmm...so the covers are just for looks. I'm guna look into getting a cover and spider....

My Poison Spyder guard for the rear diff has been great. No leaks, countersunk holes, wasn't a pain to put on, so shouldn't be a pain when reinstalling after a service and the original bolts are just fine for holding it on.
Just thought I'd throw that in.

The Tech Dept. has it on their table now, you should see it on our site
by Thanksgiving.
