As bad as those Jeeps and Hummers look, it's not all that much worse than the person who buys a bunch of offroad gear for their Jeep and never takes it off the highway or gets a little mud on it.

Very good point...I agree completely. I hear people all the time say things like "thats soo retarded...I wanted to follow that person down and tell them their an idiot". In the end...its their Jeep. If you want to take the payments over and tell them how and what to do to it...go right ahead...I'm sure they more than likely would allow you. People get soo worked up over somebody else's things...it's not worth their time.

I DONT agree with putting 20's on a Jeep or anything like what was posted above...but it's their vehicle...let them do as they want, as ryno said. All these people put the bigger tires and lifts etc. on to be a poser. Posers are everywhere....let them be. We know who wheels and who doesn't...it's pretty obvious in the end... :P

If I ever see a Jeep on 20's, I'm guna roll down my window, smile and say "You wana follow me to some trails?" and then laugh as they give me a blank stare.

rant over...

lol, I'm not going to go THAT EXREME, they are just 20's. All those vehicles you have shown are riding on rubberbands. A 20" wheel and tire will still give me a nice looking wheel with a thick enough tire..........the pic below shoes the same size tire that I am planning on going with...........and like I said, I only use 4X4 at the beach, and there are no rocks there to worry about scratching my wheels.

Why don't you go with something a little less flashy? Maybe 18" rims? 20s scream "Notice me!"

A good rule of thumb: Proper Jeep tires have an aspect ratio greater than or equal to 65. If you got 20" wheels, you would have to balance out the look by getting 32" tires (235/65/R20). Some JKs have 20" wheels, but they have 35- or 37-inch tires that offset the wheel size.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to a simple equation:
Jeep + huge flashy rims = Identity crisis!

Congrats on your new KK.

I think it looks good the way it is and I especially like the black with the clear corners.

I have no comments on the pic's posted except hahaha.............

Thats your opinion, It doesn't seem like I'm the one who's dealing with an issue here. Trucks come stock with 20's now, so I guess Chrysler is not following their own "proper ratio" protocol......

Are there any Jeep trucks in production? Nope, didn't think so.

I don't want to start an argument; I'm just trying to save you some ridicule down the road. Start a poll and ask the L.O.S.T. members what they think of 20" rims on a Jeep. I have a feeling I'm not the only one with a strong opinion on this matter.

Well gee, a statement like that wouldn't start an argument now, would it?

It's his Jeep. Let him do what he wants with it. Besides, we're talking about a Jeep here, not a car. 20s on a car may look big, but not so much on a Jeep. Hell, the Commander comes with 18s. Going to 20s isn't much of a stretch.

The Nitro comes with stock 20's..................................but thats the great thing about not caring too much about what people think, I guess that makes me an individual, and proud to be one. But this is a place where opinions can be stated, and I accept your opinion. I disagree  But no hard feelings.

If you got good roads then go with 20'' if you like. We have horrible roads in Nebraska so 18 is as big as I would go. My kidneys would thank me.
