Thank you toy.
Thats kinda what I had in mind, when I saw 16 to 21 on the sticker at
the dealer. And that is about what the last Libbys were getting with the 3.7.

the kk's get better mileage then hte kj's  dont forget (as i always remind folks on the topic of MPG) for 2008 the epa changed MPG standards! a 2007 kj under these new standards is rated at 15/19 or 15/20, so yep! a kk gets better mileage 8)

City Mileage estimates are the same for 4wd 15 (auto) 16 (manual)

Highway Mileage differs by 1 auto (20 vs 21) and 2 manual (20 vs 22)

Don't the KKs come with a taller rear end?...that would explain the mileage difference Highway. The "engine retune" might have helped just a bit. Also the KK is also more aero although it doesn't look it...Cd 420 KJ vs ~Cd 410 KK.

Need a couple of ya' over at GasSavers.org . Make sure if you go you start a "Garage" and track your mileage. The cool part is that you input the EPA ratings and it keeps track of your % better or worse than EPA Combined. You can also upload pics into the garage area!

Come on a couple of ya'...we have two CRDs over there so far.

Not by much but yes it is...could just be the longer length and lower roofline (frontal area)...who knows.

Hello

I just checked ours today on the highway. Got 20 with it driving 70, light crosswind, 26 degrees, 90 percent flat, cruise on for 100 miles. My wife has been keep track, she uses it around town quite a bit and we live 16 miles from the city. Shes been showing 17.5 combined....

Just drove from NJ to Vermont, did mostly highway but spent a couple hours driving around the slower roads in southern VT. Averaged 19 MPG.

I wish a few of you would join GasSavers.com and open a "Garage Section". They have a nic e way to track your mpg and gives you the % above or below new EPA Ratings. It also will show you that to get real world mpg figures, you need to track it over a few tank fulls.

Here is what mine looks like:

www.GasPrices.com has that feature as well.

I've been tracking the Fuel usage in my 98 Dodge Ram Turbo-Diesel for (2) years now. Averaging 19.78 MPG. Not bad for a 7500lb 4x4!

What size are you running ?

Are you correcting you speedo/odometer #s for the tire height difference (if any) ?
