I'm not sure what the lightning bolt is (glow plug?) but that little red circle is for the sentry key alarm. It blinks when the doors are locked and the car is off.

Yep, I see this every single winter. Guys torpedoed into the snowbank or in the ditch with very cool tires not meant for winter. Don't get it myself, but what the hay. My g/f and I were talking about this the other day (she just got winter tires on her Caravan) and she said, "ask those guys if they'd spend $500 to buy a life back." Sort of puts it in perspective.
Sir Sam, you're an inspiration with all the stuff you've done to that KJ. Thanks for the pics.

and yes, i hated those tires as well. i could push on them with my thumb and make the sidewalls move. but they do smoke real nice when doing burnouts :)

Red dot is the alarm and the lightening bolt is the fly by wire throttle I do believe.

The FSM shows that to be the SKIS indicator - should only come on if you have the Sentry Key Immobilizer System.

But what I'm seeing in the image doesn't quite look like that. Too bad the image is a bit blurry, but hey ya take what ya get :D

LOL @ all the discussion of dash, I took that pic hours after the tow truck dropped it off, then that evening after I was informed of the james bond compartment for the manual I was able to figure out what they were.

What happend to the Jeep. Did you buy it "as is" after an insurance writeoff, or did you have an accident with it? Roll-over?? Great job fixing it up, considering the initial damage, a bit of rust/dents on the hood is little to be concerned about. Tires look great!!

I bought it at an insurance auction after it had been rolled and totaled, fixed it up for my father to drive in socal.

If the offset is not the same then it is nearly the same. The hub size is the same as well, after all the ZJ, XJ, TJ, KJ etc all use the same 8.25 rear.

FYI I think the wheels are called "Ultra Stars"

I actually just saw a set of those wheels on a ZJ and an XJ parked next to each other last night, they're sweet.

well if it was a zj then it was the 5.9, xj it could have been a freedom, which is my favorite xj package.
