I'm currently the proud owner of 5 235/75/16 Firestone Destination AT's. I'm going to pick up a cheap set of 4 used steel rims and invest in dedicated winter tires to swap out for snow and ice season. Unfortunately, no one seems to make snow tires in the 235/75/16 size, but lots do in the 245/70/16.

Anyone know of any issues that may arise if I am forced to use my spare and it is slightly taller (1/2") than the other tires? Concerned about my traction control kicking in.

Depends on where youd get a flat and have to use the spare...

If its on the front end, then its gonna prolly pull with a bigger tire on there...

If its on the rear you better either be open or have a limited slip or a TRUE selectable locker cause that'll cause you some hell with different size tires on the street

Well, the tire sizes I'm talking about are not that massively different. 29.8" inches tall for 235/75/16 (size of my Destination AT's, including the spare), and 29.6" (size of a 245/70/16). More concerned about traction control going haywire.
