I had heard that the combo lift is actually pretty good, i dont know for sure tho I'd go daystar tho

Actually the RRO Combo is one of the best with no UBJ contact for the price.
Back in Nov. of 03 when I installed mine, there were not many lift kits to choose from, the OTT's were wreaking havoc back then, and the first Sky Jacker coil lift had just appeared.
I saw the picture of Desert Horrizons on the RRO site and went with it and the DT 3000 rear shocks , then added Rancho struts and stock CRD front coils latter to support the ARB/winch.

I may in the future, go with the OME 500 LB. fronts and H.D. rears. In the meantime it's not broke, so why fix it.

scarletbegonias, I'm one step ahead of you... I've got parts ordered, some yet due to arrive! If it helps you any, I think were both in the same boat. This is my wife's daily commuter so I tried to buy top of the line pieces for reliability sake and stay towards the conservative side of lift to keep peace in the home.

My goal was to give the Jeep a little 'tude in it's personality... I'm wearing the wife down. LOL. It'll be a bad ars urban assult vehicle! We do a bit of camping and light off-roading already.

The wife's Jeep after 67,000 miles is still wearing the OEM tires, springs, struts, etc. <No screaming at the computer please! LOL> So, to make a long story short I bought OME med springs front/rear, OME shocks, OME struts, (5) Moab wheels, (5) Goodyear Silent Armor 245/75R16.

Plan is... next weekend the transformation is to take place.

tommudd and jason thompson were a big help as were many others with they're inputs. I wanted to do the job right the first time and to do it once. I want the wife to enjoy it.

definetly post pics after you do these mods your wife's rig!

I have a question.. If I SKIP the moabs to keep the unique 03 renegade graphite wheels which I really like, can I just add wheel spacers instead to get a wider stance like csukoh78 has, but without the moabs? is that possible?

scarletbegonias, I did what you had touched on earlier about looking at other's pics. I had pretty much decided what I was going to do before I found this site, the pics I found only reinforced what I liked. I went with the Moab wheel because the factory wheels currently on the Lib are just the painted steel wheel, ugh. Personally, any factory wheel is the better look if you ask me... Save yourself the money and use the '03 Ren graphite wheels, you can always change in the future and if needed spacers are inexpensive compared to buying a new set of wheels.

tommudd... The wife's Jeep is a '04 Sport, silver, V6, auto, 4x4 etc. It's been a really good vehicle. Just took a 450 mile trip and averaged 20 mpg @ 75 mph, wish it were a little better but that's a future project to tackle.

I hope to post a pic or two in a couple weeks. I'll also post "what does it cost to lift a Liberty". I'm so excited. Can't wait. Doing all the mechanical work myself, I'll have my brother assemble the springs/struts and align it afterwards.

I drive a '04 1 ton Dodge diesel 4x4 as my daily driver... The wife won't drive it so my time in the Lib will be limited. Dang! LOL.

scarletbegonias... Spend good money for good parts. My experience with the Lib is only beginning, the advice you get here [at this site] is invaluable. Look, ask, listen. You'll do fine.
