Yup, but did you see the size of the cylinder. It looks like it's teeny-tiny. And this quote:

Quote:
Portable - hooks to your belt and goes where you go

It's got to be real small. Don't know how many tires it would fill though.
Maybe a call could get specs.......

Update:
Called Csr Care.... They say it's JUST THE REGULATOR they are selling and they will fit 18 0r 32oz cylinders?! :?

Oh well.

I was looking at those weeks ago. WAY too small! Talk with Marty. He makes a cheaper version of the Powertank. I am looking at a Powertank at 4-wheel parts for $295 + tax. They advertise it for $369.99 and I have a 20% discount coupon.

I am also looking at building my own. It just won't have the air-filling power of the Powertank but cost about $200 wonce hoses and fittings are added.

I called Lowes back to get more info. The cylinders they sell are 20 and 32oz. 32 oz would be roughly 2/5s the size of a 5 lb co2 setup - not too bad. They charge $25 for the 20oz and something like $33 or so for the 32oz tank. When you return the tank they credit you something like $18/$25 toward the next tank so essentially the "fill" ends up costing like $6. I still wonder how much use you would get out of the 32oz tank.
Any physics whizzes out there that could figure out volume vs pressure, etc?

A 10 lb CO2 tank costs $80 and $12-18 to fill it up. Why waste so much money (and risk of running out when you need it) on a tiny tank?
Advantage of small tank - takes up very little space in the rear.

But does that include the regulator and hose? The Lowe's deal has you paying $90 for the reg/hose and $6 for a fill.

Checked Powertank's site... They sell the 5# bottle w/valve for $139.95 but you still need a regulator for like $229.

They do make this which looks close to the Lowes system:

Quote:
Part Number: PTM-0124
Product Name: Power Tank Mini System - NEW MODEL

Description:
Have you ever wished you could have the power of a Power Tank but in a tiny version that you could tuck into your car for those roadside emergencies? Or how about a mini air system that you could carry with you while out on your quad or Harley? Well, here it is. At the size of a wine bottle, this little Power Tank MINI packs enough air to inflate (3) SUV tires from flat to road pressure in just a few seconds. If you're running low profile tires you know how critical it is to keep your tire pressures up but sometimes when you need it most air is hardest to find. One Power Tank Mini is like having a 22.5 gallon tank of air compressed to 150 PSI. Padded zippered storage case and tire pressure gauge is included.
Our Price: $159.95

Add these together. Powertank is very expensive. You are paying completely for their regulator.

Make your own.

$141 + getting the hose and tire valve. A great deal for the amount of tires you can air up and peace of mind.

I'm glad I paid $400 for my PowerTank, you pay alot for that regulator but it's worth it,consistent and takes about 10 tires worth of CO2 to freeze up the PowerTank regulator enough to have noticeable drop in performance(back to back filling ups).About $12-$16 to fill my 10lbs bottle, fills my tires from 16psi to 42psi(all 4) about 10-12 times, and about 30 seconds per tire.

thanks, I was wondering why everyone was getting all excited about carbon dixoide?

I still don't understand why their web site says it powers many tools? I thought you used compressed air for that.

Compressed Air, Compressed CO2, tomatoe, tomotoe. I don't think the air tools care, and CO2 cylinder can be filled to couple thousand pounds where air tank is about 150 pounds max.
