Had a little ray of sunshine today, good time to grab a frame or two....

hey woodys what all did you do for your lift? did you add a clevis or rear isolaters?

NOPE no special insulators. I re-used the rear ones as they only had 9,700 miles on them. For the fron I purchased OEM stock insulators from NAPA and built the struts with OEM style mounting plates.

About a 1/4 clevis lift, no spacers, just didn't pound the clevis on all the way and tightened the hell out of it to torque specs and thats it.

I keep telling people you can get a great amount of lift just with the OME Heavy Dutys and some clevis, pictures show it! Gotta love BLACK KJs , we could almost be cousins :lol:

aev bridger in argent IMO, of course money permitting, those things look amazing, otherwise soft 8's or the d-window style are the way to go

GOD i would give my left nutt for those wheels. But they are 3 times the price of the soft 8's

I messured the KJ before at the hieght of the roof center point to the ground (worried about the lift + tires + gecko Basket + Lights and clearing my garage door)

Before and after height showed a 3.5 inch difference.

So what size AEV Bridgers do you have?

Those AEV Bridgers look nice, but the stock Renegade wheels (5-spoke) are very similar. Could probably be had for much less than the AEVs too.

What makes the AEV stand out to you?

I am not sure really. I love the grey and not all black tone. Think the two tone thing on my black kj would look cool.

If i could find a set of rene wheels that would not suck, but I am not sure i could find them any cheeper. last STOCK new jeep wheels i saw were actually more expensive.

Just found the AEV's for 174.95 + shipping each.
