OK... With all of the Freeze/Thaw that is going on right now in Michigan my Liberty has develeoped the most annoying squeak. On the drivers Seat, next to the center consle, where the pivot is between the seat back and lower cushion something is rubbing. The noise happens everytime I go over a bump in the road (even small bumps like expansion joints on the highway.)

Has anyone else had this problem? Think it's safe to shoot some lithium grease in there to see if it stops?

See if you can get it to do it when your not sitting in the seat. Push on the cushion, push on the back of the seat. Get in it and bounce around alittle. Try to pin point the noise then load it with lithium.

I've got the same problem with my passenger seat. Doesn't take much for bumps, just a normal road and it's squeaking. If I push on the side of the seat or someone sits in it, it's fine. I can't figure out exactly where it's coming from. I've tried tightening the bolts that hold it in place but it still does it. I'll have to check and see maybe it's the same place.
