My install is almost completed. Completed enough to drive home with the lift on though.

There were a few things to check and figure out before you do your install. Talk with Marty (Rock Lizard).

So does that mean you didn't get the per-cut CV's & did your own brake lines?

No pre-cuts and my stockers didn't get cut (the people Marty took them to couldn't do them). Cost to get them done will be high. So stock length for now.

Brake connectors had bad threads. Left the stock lines in for now.

KJpilot, how far are you from JBA's. Seem's like a lot of stuff to freight in so many seperate boxes, just wondering haow far it would be to have driven over to pickup.

Yup, but yet we're only a 2 hour drive from one of the world's busiest seaports!
http://www.duluthport.com/

Only 4 hours from Canada.

As you can see in this photo, not only does Minnesota have a seaport, it also has mountains. They are small in the grand scheme of things, but mountains none the less. not what most people think when they hear "Minnesota".

I've made that 18 hour drive before. (well, from Washington DC) It's a beautiful drive with the exception of the bit between Indianapolis, IN & Madison, WI.

I don't think everything comes directly from JBA any way. It's probably okay though, some issues came up with Tokyo Joe's install, & Marlin said I should wait until they are sure the bugs are out. All part of being one of the firsts, I guess!8)

Marlin really cares about his customers & his product, so nobody reading this or the other JBA thread should see these issues as a reflection of him or his product. Tokyo Joe & I are the first customers of this lift, & he is doing an outstanding job of making sure things are going right.

That's one big boat.

That google map was good, it give me some idea of where you guy's are & how far apart from each other. It's easy to picture it here but it's another thing for the US. One hell of a big country, + if you go that far inland over here all you get is sand and tiny tiny towns. Not massive citys :D

I would wait until after the ski trip myself. A new kit is always going to have a glitch or two...

I highly recommend getting an alignment immediately. Do not wait until it settles. Get the lifetime from Firestone so you aren't paying multiple times once it settles. It was dangerous to drive once the 4" lift was installed.....or my alignment was already really bad before the install.....

Problem is this, I'm doing the lift kit because several parts of my suspension are bad. The ski hill is about a 4 hour drive from here. So I really should get it done before we go. I think Marlin is close to solving the issue on Tokyo Joe's lift, & I should have the isolator pads soon. I think I'll be OK :D  :D
