So, I went to the dealer on Monday. Had my state inspection done (extra close check on the ball joints revealed they are fine) and had my speedo recalibrated for the Revo's (forgot to do it when I had the tires put on. Cost me $40 for the recal).
Anyways, while there I picked up a copy of the new brochure (small blurb near the back about some 4x4 group called LOST, whoever they are  ) and checked out the new Commander. A couple of things about the Commander.
First, why does something that (according to the door sticker) weighs over 6000 lbs come with the same 3.7 V6 that the Liberty has? Makes no sense to me. That motor has enough trouble getting my KJ onto the highway, I can't imagine another 2000 lbs of weight!
The other thing, why is there no transfer case shift lever??? The window sticker says 4X4, but I could find NO WAY to get it into 4 wheel drive. Am I missing something?

The Commander is Quadra-Trac (either I or II), os if you get 4wd, it's full time (no selector needed)

Actually if you look close there is a "trigger" next to the shifter. pull up on the trigger once and let it back down...shifts you to 4 wheel drive. I think the system sucks. I want control over my rig...I don't want the computer telling the tires when to do what they need to be doing.
