Here are some pics from a road trip around CO and UT this summer just in case any of you have the itch as bad as i do to see the snow go bye-bye. The girlfriend had a photo shoot in SLC so we meandered from Vail, did some climbing along the way, stopped in Moab and played, then cruised up to SLC. Enjoy.

(and yes.... a lot of tinkering was being done with the roof rack through the trip so it does change.... as well as the decal being put on mid-trip.... don't want anyone getting to confused over it)

All Loaded up and ready to go play!!
Image

First we have to gain some elevation to find a good place to play....
Image

Found a spot that would suffice... base of Mt. Elbert
Image

Some fun little trails right around that area.
Image
Image

Almost got LOST once or twice haha
Image

and of course the Libby truly proved it's worth ;)
Image

Then it was off to MOAB
Image

A little bit lost in the desert.... ok very lost haha
Image

What will your roof rack hold?
Image

Then we went and did some climbing in Moab.... and yes the GF and I are in this pic.... just above our ledge we spent the night on.
Image

Despite all the time LOST.... somehow made it to SLC for her photo shoot....
Image

The End 8) Ready for summer yet?

Nice pics. I'm ready for some snow. We haven't had any worth mentioning in Tn or KY in 8 or 9 years.

Ahh the good life...if Fat Tire Made a commercial I'm sure that's the motto they would follow.

Great Pics, looks like it was a trip worth its weight in nature and time off!

All you need now is a lift to get the rest of those aftermarket tires on your jeep

haha You aren't joking about that one!!! My skid plates and exhaust are certainly paying the price for the lack of lift haha

Ahh summer. Wonderful summer.

We haven't got any snow here in Denmark yet. Weather has been a PITA here, rain rain rain all of january, which isn't normal not even for Denmark. Average temperature for january so far has been 10F above the freezing point. Blasted coastal climate! Blasted global warming! :D

I want some snow during winter and a lot of heat during summer. In coastal climates this just isn't going to happen! Grrr.

Very nice looking lady you are with mate. Really happy for you ;) And I think your girlfriend is nice too! :D (sorry couldn't resist)

OK so i guess it wasn't super clear in that pic as some people have been asking me about this 'ledge'. Hope this helps.

And I would be more than willing to let anyone know where that exact campsite is... not far from Leadville at all... maybe 30 minutes
