hey thanks for the compliments guys!
Here's an update after a few days of driving since I got the Spidertrax and tires..
I've noticed a significant change in ride quality..the vehicle doesn't wobble around at all anymore when riding over large uneven terrain..the larger tires feel softer and they roll right over all those dips and bumps that used to create so much turbulance

I'm still so happy I did these mods!
I would only recommend using "Spidertrax" brand wheel spacers btw.

I have been running SpiderTrax for a long time now. I got the 1.5" which was a little to much. I think 1.25" would work just fine. It does make a world of difference. One of the things I was thinking of when I got them is that when I add a lift to a Jeep that already has a high center of gravity I was exaggerating the problem by going higher. The solution would be to make it wider. Enter spacers. Go up 3" and go out 3".

Just don't buy the cheap spacers. Pay the extra amount for SpiderTrax.

i agree completely.. spidertrax is the only spacers i'd feel comfortable (and do feel comfortable) running. my jeep has been though every type of driving condition.. mud, rocks, snow, highway, sand.. and they've been nothing but perfect. plus it really makes the KJ look waaaay wider here's mine with spacers and 265/75's

Okay, where is the best place to buy the Spidertrax? I saw them advertised for $99 dollars a pair. Approximately $200 for all 4 is not too bad considering the cost of rims. I have the factory chrome clad wheels which I’m assuming is the same width as your Renegade wheels. The only difference is that mine are 17” vs. 16”.

You could get the spacers for around $200.00 OR get some crager soft 8 wheels for about $60.00 each!! Not much difference!

For those of you who were interested in a "group buy" for the Spidertrax wheel spacers that I just got, I'm affiliated with a guy that sells em online pretty cheap already (base price + low/moderate shipping fees) and I mentioned the possibility of a group buy..however he said that basically the only was a group buy would save money is if they were shipped all together to one destination however he is open to any ideas if you guys have em.. So if you have any ideas let me know & I'll pass the idea/s on to him and I'll see what he can manage.

By the way if you just wan to order them from him, here's the info:
I bought two sets of them at $99 each and I believe it was like only $10 or so for shipping..
Just make sure you order the right ones (In the description it should have "KJ" listed.)

Correct me if I am wrong, but from my understanding you’re getting no rub driving down the road, however you do experience small amounts of rubbing when off-roading? Is this an accurate summary in regards to your beastly tires?

I plan on getting a lift asap because my turning radius has really declined with these bigger tires and the whl spacer combo on my stock height. I'm getting the highly-recommended 50-75mi torque check on the spacers probably on monday so I'm going to see if they can cut away at any more plastic in the meantime..but a lift is in the near future hopefully before spring. What kind of lift are you getting? I was thinking a medium OME lift all around..depends on how much it costs (I would have to get it done by a pro bc I don't have the space or equipment to do it myself) Anyway I won't be doing any major off-roading so heavy duty isn't necessary as this will be a part-time "beach buggy" aka "sand sled" :wink:

I am going to do the OME as well, most likely HD, but maybe MD, and I havent decided on whether or not to go with the long travels in the back and new bumps stops yet either, I have read more post on the lifts than I am willing to admit. I also have it all written out where to purchase if you are looking for cost, can't help with the install as I'm at school in NY, otherwise I would say bring it up to PA to my house and find a couple of the LOST guys to swing buy and help. Anyways if you want a full break down on prices pm me and I'll try and help out. I'm gonna do mine on my next break late April when I'm back in PA.

Decreased turning radius? I didnt notice a difference with the moabs or 30" tires..

I would defiantly notice a loss in turning radius as our driveway is fairly tight. It takes turns to full lock to get out.

Don't get me wrong...it's still 100% drive-able and I wouldn't go back!..I'm just adjusting to not being able to pivot like a dradle like I used to with those teenie tires hahah. I'll be testing everything out this weekend to see just how much is actually rubbing still so I'll be posting an update soon :wink:

When I had the spidertrax on I never noticed a difference in turning???Also 1.25 is about as small as anyone makes unless you go with those cheap 1/4 inch spacers or something like that which is really a bad idea. The 1.25 is about right considering you need a 5 nuts to hold them on, and they are about 3/4 on an inch high and also about 3/4 of an inch of material between the nut and the hub
