How do I tell what differential I have? My truck has a tag on the door and on the rear axel that tells me. Other than putting it on a hoist, is there a tag some where on the Lib?

If you have a the 2.4L engine then you have a Dana 35 in the rear. If you have the 3.7L you most likely have the Chrysler Corporate 8.25", but we have seen at least one V6 with the same Dana 35 in the rear as the 4 cylinder KJs have.

All 4x4 KJs have a Dana 30a (aluminum) front axle.

My fault... You're right, the question should have been is the rear diff open or limited slip. I have the build sheet on it and that's the one thing it doesn't mention.

check to see if you have a green tag wrapped around the rear diff on the RHS

Green tag = Trak Lok LSD

no green tag = open diff

Actually you would need to read the green tag. Mine had a green tag and it was an open diff. Hope that helps. Later...Clint
