Has anyone fabricated their own rock rails? I have a friend with a metal shop and he offered to make a pair for me. He has never done this before, but loves to tinker with stuff, sooooo... he wanted to know if anyone has already done it and has measurements and/or materials list. I can't afford to purchase already built rails (I think he knows this and is trying to be nice and help me out, besides having some fun for himself). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

yes. i would try to pm someone who has a set that is uninstalled and ask if they would be so kind as to trace an outline of them. from there you can easily make your own. if you have the proper tools.

Doesn't even take search - click on Fabrications - scroll down to headers about rock rails or sliders..
