ok so i thought i would hit the trail this weekend..Took my current female companion with me (cant really call her my gf yet) Well i decided to follow a different trail and see where it would take me. the trail did like most 4 wheeler trails do twist and turn and run through the trees...after about an hour of new pinstripe after new pinstipe i decided to turn around and go back the way i came in. Well in the process of turning around in the woods i pulled off the trail and somehow this tree hits my jeep i'm serious it just ran over and slammed into the driverside passenger door of my jeep and as it ran off it took out my tail light. i just kept thinking about a line i read on here....Man we are in a tight spot...4 in tree in front, 6 in tree behind me and the jeep hatin tree on my left....how did i get in this mess i kept askin...was really wishin for a chain saw at this point....the girl she was cryin and pating the jeep tellin it would be ok... she lookes at me after we got out of the mess and says your taking this pretty well...new caved in door busted tail light and a scratched up jeep and your not mad....i think she found another quality she liked in me...Crap hope she doesnt fall in love.....

They're not scratches and dents, they're beauty marks!

My GF gave me a similar reply when I hit the tree (Ok, it hit me) at Paragon. "You used to get really upset over every little scratch on the Camaro. You hit a tree, dent the door, and break a mirror and all you have to say is... "It's a Jeep."!"

My reply... "It's a Jeep!" 8)

I wish my wife saw her DD that way. I crushed the rocker panel this weekend and now I'm banned from taking it out 'til it's fixed! :x She's only taken it wheeling once before with me at Paragon (and admits she loved it)-but besides that her KJ lived the typical grocery getter life. My problem is she still loves it and wont just hand it over!

My KJ was attacked by a tree one day when the tree ran out in the road and hit my jeep. My wife was driving. The tree lost but not without putting a small dent above the passenger front fender, messed up the bumper a little, and popped some rivets out of the fender flare. My wife loves 4 low!

Dave, you are going at it all wrong!! You don;t want to get her to hand it over, you want to get her to NEED mods and such the same way you do. You want her to NEED to go wheeling.

Don't get me wrong, the whole family had a blast our first time out Jeep 101. Prob is the "need" priority list. She'd rather have a pop up to put behind the Libby than a trail ready KJ. On the flip side, using Steakgoddess advice, I showed her pictures of people wheeling in Moab and mentioned how cool it would be to go camp there. She said not before a lift! Moab 07 with a pop up in tow? I can dream. I have the repair scheduled for Monday.
