Ummmm, no camping this trip for me. Yes, I am a self-proclaimed cold wienie. I did just get 3 skid plates on the truck. Feel better about that.

Agreed. I did plenty of camping in the 0-20 degrees range in my Boy Scout days, but I dont have a huge desire to put myself through that if theres no patch involved!

Is this for Livingston or the other place you all found on the last run?

I'm pretty flexible on route preference. It probably depends on how many rigs show up, and whether or not they're modded.

The new run was pretty easy for stock vehicles (stock tires, supsension, etc), and there's a lot more to the trail that we didn't finish.

The regular Livingston route (starting at the 49er) obviously requires skid plates, tow points, and would recommend rock rails and a lift. I've seen each of the rigs on the list thus far, and know that they can make it through. I also like the WOW factor that comes along with running that route - "I didn't think my Liberty could do that"... I've said it a million times on that trail.

Obviously, if there is enough interest in staying for a night, we can easiily do both runs.

Oh, and technically, I think the last run we found is actually closer to the town of Livingston than the 49er is.

Over Presidents weekend (Feb. 15-18th). This is for a pre-run for the big spring get-together to see what has changed and what is still open. The dates are not totally firmed up yet, right?

Is there any opposition to the following?

Saturday, 2/16 meet at 49er (Exit #49, I-75 in Kentucky) @ 9 am, trail at 9:30.
Sunday, 2/17 meet again at 49er @ 9 am and roll out to the other (Sheltowee Trace?) trail?

There are plenty of other Forestry roads and Unimproved roads that we can play on if we finish either trail early too.

If I look at a map of the area again I would. Didn't you plot any waypoints in that GPS of yours??

Yeah... that would have been a good idea... But I forgot to turn on the tracking at the beginning of the day.

Would have been pretty helpful to track the new route huh? Oh well, we'll get it done this time.

Count me in for the 16th. I've just bought a '98 Wrangler and want to give it a go on the trails. Since I've never driven a manual transmission or a Wrangler on the trails you probably should consider me a newbie. Hopefully I'll have some rocker panel protection on by then but the Wrangler does have a 2" lift and skids.

Been a while since I've been on a LOST run so it will be good to get back into the swing of things and see some new faces too.

4 hour drive, heck youre right there close then !! I have 345 miles about 5.5 hours, you can sleep in, then have breakfast and still beat me there! Harlan would be real close for you, just up over a couple of hills! By the way have you ever been over and done the Dragon?
