I was paying 454.21 a month for 5.5 years. i sent 2230 off to the bank 4 weeks ago to finish it. Now that i have money to spend, my first mod will be an oil pressure gauge.

Haha, oh man I can't wait till I paid mine off.

I still have 3½ years to go, and my monthly rate is $640.

Yeah well we got 75% tax on the basic car...so mine is 2nd hand and still nearly as expensive as a brand new JK in other countries.

It's so nice knowing that you actually own your vehicle instead of the bank. Congratulations on the milestone. Now you just have to take care of your KJ and it should last a very long time.

Congrats on your achievement.
Mine was “paid off” a few years ago, bank error in my favor.
They sent me the title after I had paid about 10K in payments. I called the bank to check my balance and $000.00 due.

Perhaps you had a secret someone looking out for you and paid it off, Carnage.

Don't be surprised if they come back to you after an audit.

Congrats on the payoff.

I paid my Lib off a couple of months ago and a couple of weeks after that I got a check from the bank for the interest difference.
Nothing like not having a car payment and getting a check for it too.

You guys sure are lucky. The only car I've ever owned outright was my first one that I got in high school. After it caught on fire, I had to buy another car. Then after that one had several problems with the computer and had the exhaust fall out, I finally bought my first new car, a Saturn. The only way to afford it was on a balloon loan. So after refinancing it for a total of seven years of payments, It gets totalled in a car accident with only 13 payments left. That's when I bought the Liberty. After paying on it for 3 years, I convinced my wife to take it over so I could get the Wrangler. Almost a year goes by when she totals it in another accident. So now I'm still paying on the Wrangler and we have to buy her another car and start the vicious cycle all over again. I've been driving for almost 20 years now and only been car payment free for about three of those years. I just hope our current vehicles will survive long enough to get them paid off.

Time to stop driving if you get in that many accidents...or is it the other Maryland drivers? Move to another state where the people drive slower.
