I was on the way to the gym tonight and hear the chime go off and look down to see the tire pressure warning.

I was about 1/4 mile from the gym, so when I pull in and park, I get out and hear this loud hissssssssss... within about 2 minutes, my tire is totally flat.

It was raining, and cool, about 45 degrees.. I'm dressed in gym shorts, a T-Shirt and sweatshirt.

I have to say again, there's really no big problem with getting that spare out from under the KK. It's really very simple.

Now holding that darn big heavy spare up there while trying to get a couple of lug nuts started was another story. However, it took me about 15 minutes all together to change the tire, put the flat in the back cargo area and leave.

What is it with flat tires? This is my third on my KK since November. I hope this one is able to be patched, I'm not real anxious to buy new tires already.

You always get a flat when the weather is crummy it seems. Time to think about a tire plug kit and an air compressor.

Which tires came on yours? 3 flats.......geeeezz

nah.............

This was when I was on the way to the gym. The tire went completely flat in the gym parking lot.

On my 04 Liberty, Chrysler would change flat tires under warranty, not so with the 08.

I had called my wife to have her call Chrysler for me, but she called back and said that they said it wasn't covered under warranty. This was at about 7:30 PM. She said that she had called a wrecker service that said that they did 24 hour emergency tire service and made arrangements for them to come change the tire for me. I love the way my wife takes care of me like that

Anyway, she told the guy to be there at 9:45 PM because that's the time I always leave the gym.

At 9:45, I'm leaving the gym and ready to meet the guy..

guess what? 10 PM he is still a no show, so I changed it myself. I tried to get my wife to call them back and thank them for the prompt service, but she wouldn't do it. Geeze, you call at 7:30 and ask them to show up at 9:45, you'd think that would give them plenty of time to get there, but I guess now.

Anyway, after my workout, I sat in the suana for about 20 minutes before leaving, so I was plenty warm while changing the flat

not so much good luck with those tires lol. I would have slowly started buying some better tires, you would have been 3/4 of the way to a set of new replacements for the goodyears! lol. I have only had one flat that was on my other car, it was a steady leak, within 20 min it be flat, i just drove it to a shop and got it patched for $5.

The only flat I ever had in 44 years driving was the right front tire on a 38' motorhome! Going 65mph and towing a KJ. Needless to say I had to shake out my pant legs!

well, the news isn't good. It was a big piece of sharp metal that punctured the tire. It made a hole that is too big to repair.

I've only got 6,000 miles on that car, I was hoping to get a few miles out of the tires anyway. I had to order another Goodyear tire for a replacement/spare.

wow that sucks man...how much is the new tire? I'm thinking about switching out the factory 18" tires for some nokian WR suv's they have in 18" but I don't realllly want to spend the money on a tire I'll only use for a few months before I do a 17" wheel. Maybe I'll make the 18" my winter tires

So many companys now offer some kind of road side assistance for at least 3 years. I'm not talking Cadilac or other luxury moniquers. Last year when I got my Mother 4'9" out of the big stupid Buick she was driving since Dad had passed away. I took her to a couple dealerships until I found a ride she was comfortable in, not to mention fit finish and all. She had "AAA" but didnt need it for at least 3 years and not only did the dealership cover that all service oil change maintenace was covered so she doesn't have to worry about anything. Thats one of the big problems the almighty dollar has surpassed Customer Service. But I digress, how flat a tire gets is directly proportional the amount of rain or snow    :-)r :-)r :-)r
