Starting to get cabin fever since I haven't been wheeling in two months. Anybody know when the next run is going to be? Where? Rausch, GWNF or something else?

Soon, I just would hate to pick a date and then get a huge snow storm that day.

You can probably twist my arm into a GWNF run. My weekends are booked for the next few weeks but how is the end of February looking for you guys?

Say the weekend of the 23-24th?

That weekend is fine by me as long as we set the date soon so I can get off work and maybe save a little for the gas money.

I mentioned the possible trip to GWNF at the end of February and Kimberly even said she wanted to go. So let's nail down the date and start planning. I know a couple of guys I might be able to bring along once we get the details worked out. Come on guys, I'm dying to wheel. :)

I might be able to make it. Just tough since I am a night shift guy.

What's the cost involved, besides fuel?

It's a national park so it's free (well your taxes pay for it). So your only cost is your gas, lunch and any other food and drinks you'll want during the day on the trail. Some people spend the night at either Brandywine Campground ($5 or $10 a night, can't remember for sure) or hotels in Harrisonburg. So if you don't want to get up really early to drive down there, you would need to figure that cost as well. We normally meet at the Sheetz on Rt. 33 just west of I-81 in Harrisonburg in the morning to fuel up and get lunch or last minute munchies, then we head to the trails. Hope to see you there.

For anyone who hasnt been to GWNF before, the trails are very easy and fun. Stockers will have a blast here. Skids are recommended, tow points required, as with any off-road event.

Ok then let's make it the 24th at GWNF so XR can come out and play too. Is that cool with every body? I'll go put my request in for the day off when I get to work today.

It takes me about 3 hours from where I live in Maryland. I know of about 4 or 5 trails there that can range in difficulty from plain dirt road to real trails with obstacles. Once we see who's coming, we can pick what trails to run based on everyones ability. Even if we run some of the milder trails, the scenery is really nice too. You can see across the state line for miles from one of the mountain tops.
