On a side note, Interco came out with the IROK ND for LT as a trial/test mold to see how sales would go. They put 2000 tires into production in the 245/75R16/ 235/85R16 sizes. If somebody was to look for them right now they would be pretty hard to find though they are out there. Now because of the demand for this tire, starting 2009 people will begin to see it in 4x4 mags as they are going to make it part of their lineup.

that is VERY GOOD NEWS :D

And any comparision between these and the Trxus? Which ones would be better for daily commutes and winter roads? Ive heard that the trxus are a awesome tire on the ice and snow, just wondering how the Iroks ND's compare?
Josh

Mud tires are not good at all on ice..the only thing they are somewhat decent for (outside of mudding of course) is DEEEP snow where the giant lugs act like paddles...everything else is dangerous and not advised by any tire professional...even wet pavement is not optimal for mudders IMO.

As the owner of a set of Trxxus M/T's, I gotta disagree with this. They are very good on snow/ice/mud/wet pavement. These are what an A/T should be: because ALL should mean mud, too.

i have these on my renny and i love them and in the mud well all i can say is they are awsome i used them in camp jeep and went wheeling with a club in mo. and they worked very well. as to wearing i think they are holding up very good i have not took them off and i put them on in may or june have to look but they are still in great shape. and yes i drove from mo. to va. and all around down there . they have never been off and yea if you lower the air to 20psi and go wheeling well you will be unstop able . there was one trail at camp jeep it was c or d trail and alot of rubi. and wranglers had to be wrenched up this one hill and my and my wife brother was the only 2 libertys and we both made it up and through the whole trail without a hitch. and yea we amazed alot of wrangler drivers. also yea they are noisey but i like it that way you get alot of looks when driveing next to another jeep or car . later mike

I have had mine on for a while now and there are going through the snow with no problems as winter is coming to an end. (hoping for one more big snowfall) They are great in the snow and havent had any trouble with ice either. I will say that they are really loud and if you dont like your steering wheel vibrating at speeds over 30mph or a nice soothing hummmmmm then they are not for you. Also they are very heavy so it is different braking than with an A/T. Just my 2cents.

I just ordered mine to replace my worn out MT/R's. sounds like i will be rather happy with the off road oerformance. They shouldnt be too much louder than the MT/R's

If you get the radials they are so-so,the biased ply ones are the best but good luck balancing them and you may get 10,000miles out of them,if your lucky.Oh and don't mind the very rough ride in those cold mornings, the tires just need to warm up before those flatspots will disappear.Great tires for offroad though.
