I have a stock brand new torque converter for sale in the "parts for sale" section if any one is interested. When I took the liberty in for the customer satisfaction notification I had a suncoast converter installed instead of the stock converter.

So, what do you think of the Suncoast so far? I was thinking of doing what you did and need to get some ideas on how to get my dealer to consider such a plan. Any ideas would certainly be appreciated.

Yeah I was wondering that too, what do you think of your suncoast setup?

x3 on wanting to know what you think of the Suncoast... I just made friends with 2 of the service guys in my local bay, and they didn't have too many nice things to say about the diesel. Mostly it sounds like they are just irritated that DCJ takes north of a week to get them any parts for it, b/c they are so rare. But one of them also said that only 2k were manufactured. I thought it was around 11k...

Anyway, if I need a converter before the warranty is up, I plan to offer them beer money to NOT install another one of those crap converters, but to install the Suncoast that I will provide them with. I don't know if I could talk them into a shift kit too... But if the time comes, I will try. Everyone likes earning a little extra pocket money for the same work and "bending" a rule here or there.

I don't have the jeep anymore. I had the converter in there for 6 months and I still had a shudder occasionally. I knew the dealer so I was able to get them to rebuild the trans with the new pump, transgo shift kit and suncoast converter. It shifted a lot better but it still wasn't right. I was about out of warranty so I got rid of it.
