Considering switching just my springs from the Rustys 2.5 coils to the OME927's in the front. I have an ARB on there and I get some rubbing while cornering on the pinch weld, plus I want the ride height back up that inch that it settled after strapping that monstrosity to my front.

Can anyone think of a reason this would be a bad idea? Right now I have 2 ring clevis also up front. Riding on 245/75's....

Thanks
Josh

Are the 927's the HD or Medium springs?

I had the Medium springs on mine and received 1in more lift with the Rustys springs. I did not have the ARB bumper though.

tommud has the OME hd springs with the ARB and has as much lift as me I do believe.

927's are the heavy duty. So you are thinking that the Rustys coils slightly sagged may still give me the same overall because the OME's are actually a little shorter?

Go for the 927s it will hold the front up real well, will not be disappointed with the change!

I just got done switching from rustys to OME HDs and my front end sits higher than it did with Rustys. I used the same 2 ring clevis when I did my OMEs and so far it hasn't settled any. I don't have the ARB hanging there but the point is still the same, OME HDs will sit higher :D If I ever got ARB I would use 3 clevis in the front to compensate for little sagging I might get with the ARB.

NICE! Why did you switch if you have no ARB? I thought the Rustys springs were great before I slapped the ARB on there. Even now they still ride very nicely but they just arnt rated to carry that much heft up front.

Did you use the same shocks and everything else from the Rustys kit? I would imagine there is no difference...

I think im gonna order it up tonight... tough spending money on the KJ this time of year though when I have to start getting the motorcycle ready too.

I had the opportunity to get OMEs so I did in case I do get a bumper in the future. There was nothing wrong with my Rustys lift at all. Yeah I used the same struts and shocks. The struts that come with Rustys are OME and I need to upgrade my rear shocks. You still have a few month before the riding weather. :D

Yea my rear shocks are also ready to be replaced. The right rear makes all sorts of noise now. I cant tighten it anymore and have stuffed as many washers as I can in there. Oh well...... Hey thanks for the help

Good job! It might take a little longer than a week because they have drop ship them from ARB.

Hey wildrussian, dont suppose you have a strut plate on top of your strut assy do you?

Also, I dont suppose you have a measurement from the middle of your wheel to the bottom of the fender flare do you? Im just about at 21" now, maybe a C-hair less...
