thanks to a slightly overweight poor driving middle aged woman

put the spare on, because the alignment is umm not aligned.

I almost had the same thing happen from a crackhead speeding in a McDo parking lot. He missed by inches.

P.S. Are you thinking about getting a custom bumper? Will the insurance pay if you do? Just curious.

I do not understand. How does Mich. being a "No Fault State" mean she is off the hook and your insurance gets jacked? Was she at fault? Did she hit you?

In KY, we have no fault but only if BOTH cars are moved after the accident and before the police can get there to do their investigation.

I had an accident once in my old cherokee and the guy who hit me moved his truck out of traffic and I did not. Turns out his son was a cop and told him to do that and have me do the same. Say it was for safety and then the ins would kick in to No Fault. I refused to move my XJ so when the police got there they saw what happened and then told me how it works and where and why he wanted me to move mine.

I got pissed and the cop was pissed too. Almost cited him for tampering with an accident scene. But since there were no injuriers he really couldn't.

But anyway, WHY?

Sorry about your incident.
I see you other wheel in the back ground, double check to insure it doesn’t have any damage. The wheel might have received some damage leading you to think it’s your alignment.

I don't know what happened here or who had insurance but when I lived in Hawaii we had to have no fault insurance as well and it was simply if the other driver didn't have insurance you were still covered. So maybe he was just saying it doesn't matter if she had insurance or not it's still going to be covered.

"no fault" insurance is exactly what it sounds like...your insurance takes care of your car, regardless of who's at fault. The only thing I didn't like about MI when I lived there.

That sucks, zuk! I don't know where in MI you are, but I'd recommend the CarStar in Zeeland if you're anywhere close to it....and I'd avoid Sharks, up chicago drive north of Zeeland

I'm in Rochester MI, so kind of far away from Zeeland :lol:

and the reason my insurance gets it is also because nobody got a ticket. I live a narrow dirt road which happens to have some blind curves. WIth the recent Snow, the road is even narrower and it was nothing but ice. I enter the Right Hand curve probably doing about 10 mph, then a Black Ford Edge happened to be in the middle coming at (at probably 20-25 mph) no where to go, we hit and bounced off, If not for the snow pile she would have went down the 7' ditch.

Cop Shows up, takes our info, etc.

they are 245 65 R17 Yokohoma Geolander AT +II , i don't think they make them anymore, and i can't really recommend them either.

and the lady does Scrap booking :roll:

I don't like the looks of any of them the ARB one is okay, but i don't really have a use for it, except to run into Ford Edges.

Gotta love Michigan.

No-Fault actually can work out quite well, depends on the situation. Say for instance the other driver has no insurance, but yours does.

But this is also the reason why our insurance rates are so high...
