Not to be a jerk or anything but 950 is kind of high for a bumper like that. He needs to look at whats out there and what they look like. His maybe lighter weight but with the way it looks its not a 950 bumper. Better parking / turn signals, better corners etc

x2.

His materials and the amount of the steel used is over half of the other items on the market, thus the lighterweight. But his materials cost and labor is not APPEARING to be inline with other bumpers. JMHO

Not quite the reaction he was looking for, I would guess.

Not saying that it is or isn't a fair price but it depends on the material used.If DOM is used and depending on it thickness it can get pricy fast(I paid $220 for 24' of 1 1/2" 0.281 walled DOM,and before the steel prices jump way up on Jan 1st),and if ChromeMoly was used(again thickness is a big factor) $950 is a bargin. Then you got the bending to figure in,which isn't cheap.

I will get all the thicknesses of the tubing for you all. That was one of the things that was tod to me is that material cost went up a lot. So I am guessing right now that it is pretty thick tubing. But I will Find out sometime after lunch. Which means I probably wont be able to post again till this evening. I dont have access to the comp. during work hours, sorry fellas.
Thanks again for all the input, it helps.

Rudy,
I like the idea of a tube bumper, and the one you have looks pretty good , but just needs a little fine tuning in my book. work in some better turn, marker lights etc. Then it may be worth the 950 work on the corners etc. and personally I would raise it about 2 inches (maybe) I would even look at a rear tube bumper, think it would look good if done right, seems everyone is doing fronts though
just my 2 cents

Tom

Hey Tom,
Thanks, Well this is the prototype. Still got the small kinks to work out on the design as with all things you know. The light box needs work, that was a rush part that was made. I personally feel the same way about the look. I already have a design in mind but I need to get my funds together for that one. If I can sell that rear that is on my jeep, maybe I can have that made also. But yeah everyone is making them for the front, but I dont see anyone that is selling them for other people. I only see them making them for themselves which is cool. Just trying to get something to catch, you know what I mean...

Hey guys sorry didnt post on the thickness of the tubing the other day, just forgot. It is 1/20 thick ... pretty good, holds up well to rocks. If anyone wants one let me know if anyone wants one(pm me).... I will get some pics of the better turn signal boxes when I get them done, thanks guys.

if you take the signal boxes from the other bumper thats in that albolm it should look a lot better. Id just make sure that whatever gets made flows a bit better with the lines of the lib. You have to try and limit the amount of straight lines because the truck really doesnt have any. An as for the rear bumper that perfect. If it a reasonable price I would buy it.

Jokes huh? Ok leave that one alone for now... I am still trying to get something in the works to make that rear for you all.... might be a bit more than the 1800 I paid for it 3 yrs ago though... so dont freak out if I can get the ok to take some orders on it for you all. I havent had time to get the rig back to the shop to have those signal boxes redone yet... will get on that ASAP I might be abel to worksomething in there to keep the factory signals like the old bumper.
trial and error.. I will figure it out one way or another.

lol, I was going to say something but figured I'd keep quite. I think this guy is a bit overpriced. I understand he may be a bit higher than options we have now but that's just crazy!!

I am using the name of the company... Yeah thats a lot, but for a first time bumper It took a lot of work hours to get it right so thats where most of the cost came from. I am probably not exact on the price but somewhere around that. I am also probably not including the cost of the rock rails I had made too.... I dont exactly remember it was a few years ago. This is a bit pricey... the owner is proud of his work and the quality is great. I wanted something different and just said to get it done. So if the money is there why not right?? I will work on that though I am trying for you guys so dont give up on me yet.

No one is giving up on you. We appreciate any effort to bring more equipment out for the KJ (and KK). So, although some of the listed prices seem a bit high, we all want the development to move forward until the final design, specs, and pricing structure are established.
