Here are some figures for my KJ:

Track width: 66" (also figure 69")
Height: 71"

Front of front tire to where the bumper would be if straight out: 13"
Ground to bottom of front bumper: 22"

What is my approach angle? What is my tip over angle?

I have been out of school WAY to long!

Terry

The easiest way to figure approach and departure angles is get a big piece of plywood(or any other big flat piece of something) and shove it(try to) under your tires and then lift the opposite end until it stops(as if your making a ramp).Then have another person with a angle finder or protractor measure the angle,and then that is your approach or departure angle.No math involved.

Just make a triangle and use ArcTan(o/a).

O=opposite=22"
A=Adjacent =13"

If your measurements are right and they are from the places I think they are it should be 59.4 degrees.

That tip-over angle would be impossible for me to solve given my physics skillz. I'd need to know COG and all that crap and even then I wouldnt know what to do with it.

Terry

approach angle, easy, Rise over run, so if it goes up 14" and out 15" then take the inverse Tangent of 14/15, it should be the TAN-1 button on a calculator (the calculator on windows can do this if you switch it to Scientific)

tip over angle, is just after your ( * ) starts to pucker

[Nerd Alert]

If you can't remember the great Chief's name, Sohcahtoa, remember his wise saying:
Saddle Our Horses, Canter Away Happily, To Other Adventures.

[/Nerd Alert]

Also, you can take a picture of your rig and measure the angle / draw the triangle on photograph. Since the triangle made with the plywood in real life is dimensionally similar to the photograph, their angle measures will be congruent.

The way I do it
approach angle = what you can get up with out damaging your rig (more for some and less for others)
tip over angle = when you think you are about to tip over you still have 5-10* more to go but still trust your "gut"
break over angle = go very very slow if the tires dont hit the ground before you bottom out pray you can back up or just take a strap the go at an angle and refer to tip over angle
departure angle = the same as approach angle most times more if you have a hitch

Incase you dont get it the numbers dont mean shait to me I go on what I can and can not do
