That is the correct bolt pattern, but I think with the rims being 8" wide and having the 4.5" backspacing you may rub. I have that backspacing but mine are 7" wide.

Those are the wrong lug pattern. You need 5x4.5" Mine are 16x8" and I only have minor rubbing at full stuff.

16x7 5x4.5 bolt pattern 4.5 back spacing should work fine.

If you got a discount tires around have them get the Unique Steel series 297(Crager soft 8's,Unique Steel make the Cragers),there a whole lot cheaper when Crager isn't stamped on them,I got my 16x7,4.5" BS rims there for $50 apiece and no shipping required.

I'm running 16x7 on 4" BS. No rubbing. You can get it cheap @ Summit Racing. You need a 5x4.5 bolt pattern.

16x7

16x8

Take your pick. :)

Hey guys don't mean to steal your thread but, does it matter 4.00 bs or 4.5 bs when running a 235/70/16 tire and a pre lowered kj?

Bad idea trying to run 235's on a 8" rim anyway.Get the 7" rims, you'll have some rub if your not lifted, some trimming and pounding the pinchweld may be in order.Just remember that the 16x7 rims with 4" of BS will stick out 1.5" more then the OEM rims, just like adding 1.5" spacers on your stock rims.

Can't beat that deal... :D

But it doesn't look like they have it. They only have 15x8 and 17x8 and they are both "not available". The 15x8 with 4.75" BS might work, but you need a lift.

Linky

Its hard to tell if you will get any rubbing with that BS and size tire on a stock liberty. If I had to guess I would say you would get mild rubbing if its stock. Nothing alittle trimming cant fix though.

I'm still confused. 235/70R16 was an optional tire size for 2002. I running 235's on the standard steel 16x7 factory rims with no rubbing. Can someome tell me what the bs is on the steel factory rims? I like the look of the black rims, but I want to keep the suspension stock. So will the 4.0 back spacing on the Cargar Soft 8's work?

All KJ wheels(steel,alloy,17",or 16",'02-'07) are 5.5" of BS,going to a 4" BS will move the whole tire/rim 1.5" outward,so yes they may give you some rubbing but can be cured with some trimming and pounding the pinchweld down.

There isn't a Cragar Wheel (or any knockoffs), that are 16x7 with 4.5" bs. Only 4" BS is avaliable. If you stick with a 225/75 or 235/70 tires, you will probably not have any rubbing issues. If you do, its not going to be anything major.
