Hi All

Picking up a 2003 2.5 CRD KJ this afternoon

and been put onto this forum by the nice folks off AJOR.

After a bullbar and a snorkel for the Jeep in the near future. Looks like I will be stuck with an ARB steel bar as they seem to be the only people that do something for the 2003. In terms of a snorkel, what are the options? Is the airflow snorkel suitable for a 2.5 CRD? Also thinking of getting a couple of spotties, any recommendations, not looking to spend a fortune. Finally, out of interest, what suspension are people running and is anyone using polyairs in the rear for towing?

I have Polyairs in the back of my 2.8 for towing, and they are just the job - but don't forget to let them down when you take the trailer off, or the ride can be decidedly bumpy!

CRDSTU is teh man to speak to for both lift and snorkel, he'll do you right.

Spotties....there's as many kinds as there are fish in the sea, depends on what money you wish to spend as well.

CRDSTU around much? I sent him a PM on AJOR but haven't heard from him yet.

Not looking to spend a fortune on spotties, something reasonable but for the amount they'd get used it's not worth re-mortgaging my house!

Some decent rubber will also have to be put on, but will have to wait for the current set to wear out before I invest in some BFG's

Had polyairs on my Pathfinder, I left them pumped the whole time (only at 50% when not loaded) as it seemed to improve the ride.

Let me know when you are next doing a run as it'd be good to catch up, will need to get the UHF and dual battery put on before hand.

Spots - I've got a pair of Hella Compact 4000's. Give a good light and don't look too big on the front bar.

Welcome POM.
I have a 04 3.7 petrol and run Dobinsons springs with Rancho rear shockies and Dobinsons front and it works for me, gives about 60mm lift although they advertise it as a 40mm lift. I have lightforce lights and would not buy them again, impossible to get the right spread of light that I want, had Cibie's before and will be going them again next time.
