My pushing 50,000 mile SR-A's are one reason I didn't try to go with you guys. I guess I am a wuss. :shock:

BUT: I did buy some M/T's today, now if I can just get the lift thrown on....

Swampthing, would you share the details of your highlift/shovel rack?

What i did was get 4 large u bolts and i attached 2 of them to two of my spokes on my stock rim. then i put two nuts on the existing thread and then another flat piece of metal from the other set of u bolts and then a nut following that and tightened it down.
after that i drilled two holes in the flat piece of metal and simply just got two bolts and locknuts and i used the holes from that high mount and i just bolted it right on. as for the shovel its just bungied on.. iwill try to get a close picture sometime to help show this..

That sounds like a decent solution. If you get some pics, I'd like to see them. Don't knock yourself out over them, though.

I thought the same thing all day long. But it held together nicely (except for the whole control arm thing).

We all needed wheel spin like that throughout the day, fortunately, most of it was over a nice bed of mud.

I don't mind mud, but jeez. I almost had to take the brakes apart to get them un-packed. I figured if I got going fast enough I would just plow through the muck....that did not work out like I thought it would :lol:

That said, I am ready to go wheelin' again...somewhere a little less muddy, maybe.

The local 4WD club is having the second annual Mud Run at Haspin this weekend...that should be fun.
