Just installed these over the past weekend. Kind of a pain to get in between the grille and the radiator without completely removing the grille so my arms got a bit scratched up. Looks ok but had to do some trimming to get them to fit properly to the fins in the grille.

looks great. too bad you didn't take the grill off to do it then you could include photos of how they are held in place.

small tie wraps in the corners attached to the fins. Can't even see them from more than 5 feet away.

Looks good! Little to much bling for me though. :)

You know there is only 4 torx screws holding the grill on, right?

bought those off eBay...Figure Engineering. Paid too much and had to do some field mods to get them to fit right. I like them though. 8)

BTW, these are not just a flat piece of metal. They are rounded in all around the edges. The ends were too long and didn't fit tightly to the fins when tie wrapping so I had to trim them down.

I looked at doing that but it looked like only the "chrome" part would come out and I needed to get behind the black fins as well. I did take the 3 bolts out on top (middle and above/behind each headlight) which bought me enough wiggle room to get an arm down behind (scratched all to heck getting the bottom corner ties done) to attach.

Looks great Drybones! Do you know if they make them in black too? Been debating on making some or buying some, but I'd want mine in black.

I think there is a thread hear about how to make them. You can get the screen at any hardware.

They can paint them I believe. Just search on ebay for jeep liberty grille. Also, these are not just flat pieces of screen cut to fit the hole. I know you can do that too but these are actually formed with rounded edges that look a bit "cleaner" in my opinion.
I have also seen a one piece grille insert that goes behind everything in the grille that would probably be a very clean look as well.

looks sweet, i too would prefer black, but yours match your chrome grill....btw, removing the entire grill takes all of about 5 seconds....simply unsnap the 4 or 5 snaps across the top.....mine's been off a million times

Looks sharp Drybones, I am looking to do the very same thing, though I think black mesh would better compliment my blue jeep.

Everybody keeps telling me the entire grille snaps right off but how many of you are doing this on an 05+ Limited? The black fins in the grille are definitely seperate from the chrome and there are at least 3 bolts across the top that tie that part of the grille into the front. I may try again to remove it all just to know for sure. Besides it impresses the wife when I "work" on the car! 8)

My 2006 just has tabs, but it looks like there might have been 2 bolts or screws. Look on top of the head lights, there should be a clip near the where the headlights meet the fenders, there might be a bolt there. The chrome grill might make the difference.

Here is what I did to my grill a while back.

Here is it after I put in lights.

I added an EGR Aerowrap XE bug deflector too. Got it off eBay shipped to my door for $37 and they have more of them. I was the only bidder on mine. 8)

Here is a link to where I bought mine. No financial interest for me but it should help answer all your questions.
